Quest: Gumbuckle Shindig

Barney takes a sip of his drink, contemplating his next words.
Barney: Ma's okay… yeah she's….
Barney makes a frustrated moan, shaking his head.
Barney: I hate pretendin' everything's fine! Cause it ain't! Ma's been strugglin' lately, but we gotta put on a good face cause we Gumbuckles an' all.
You cautiously ask what's wrong with Tal'baa, trying to console Barney.
Barney: Well ya know, ma's got some sickness, in the head sometimes an', well sometimes it's okay, and sometimes it's… it's bad. Real bad. She was starting to get a little bit better while Wenn was away at Wynsiph, but then all of a sudden, she wanted her back. Wouldn't let it go. Needed to see her baby girl again. So we got her back, and she started goin' all over again. With the cryin', the outbursts… and paw's trying to calm her down. It's hard, this family stuff, ya know?
You nod quickly, fascinated by the Gumbuckle gossip. Barney quickly turns to you and smiles.
Barney: But it sure is nice to have a friend to listen to ya! Ya know, I bet we'll be great friends! Tradin' stories, sharing secrets, and just bein' there for each other's emotional support!
He puts then slings an arm around your shoulder affectionately. You feel honored to be thought of as a true friend. Barney grabs a drink from a passing plate for you and holds up a glass of his own.
Barney: To sharing stories and family secrets!
You hold up your drink with Barney, thinking about the story he just told you. This family sure has its skeletons, but they also know how to throw a fun party. You get yourself some snacks, meet more wyngrew, and enjoy the live music until the sun comes up!
