Introduction

The city of Antova was one of the first founded towns in the country. It has a rich history in which it went through many changes during its time of Zenith's rule.

The area is rich with minerals and is very fertile for growing crops. Because of this, a fair share of groups & species have fought for it.

Over the centuries it has grown into a vast city built around an incredible castle. A long time ago, the construction was aided by the magic of royal Imperial Wyngrew from the Desert Paradise far away. The Imperial Wyngrew were allies with the royal family of Antova and often traded goods together. Many Imperials fled to Antova during the magical illness that almost eliminated them. This is why there are more Imps today in Antova than anywhere else.

The kingdom laws of Antova are spread far from the city itself, and reach across a very large portion of the continent. Wynsiph is technically in Antova country, but isn’t governed or bothered with as much since it’s so small and far away.

Antova pretty much takes center stage when it comes to profits. The city is very wealthy and everyone isalways trying to get into the “city of opportunity”. Sell goods, make a fine living, enlist as a royal guard, enroll in the top schools, especially for magic. Antova has a great emphasis on the elements especially, garnering the most elite magic school known to wyngrew.

Districts

Antova has a total of 8 districts, including the "castle district" which is located in the center near the city's nova tree, atop a large mountain crater in the earth. It's a spectacular sight to see, especially from the sky.

Not all districts are created equal! Each district has it's own history and things it specializes in. They are each named for the elemental god they represent.

Prosperity:

$$$$$: Only the richest and more exclusively connected families live here. Nobility and royalty-relations.

$$$$: Very wealthy. 6 figure income type wealthy. Also well connected. Mostly merchants who’ve married into ‘known name’ family stock or are in the process of doing so.

$$$: Well-to-do. Able to afford a house and pay for their kids schooling. Not a whole lot of worry.

$$: Budgeters. Hard working but struggling to make ends meet every day.

$: Dirt poor. Scraping by, starving, bums, homeless. Lowest of the low. Desperate to survive.

Population:

Low: More spacious living quarters per wyngro. Many that live here own large homes and settlements.

Medium: High population, but fair comfortable living options are available.

High: Very dense population. Think New York City or China. Very busy and compact. Wyngrew do not usually have very cramped living spaces and eggs are sold left and right to be shipped outside of the city to help keep population down.

Chii'falla - District 1

Prosperity: $$$$$

Population: Low

Named after Chii'falla, the goddess of Light herself. Also known as the Castle District, obviously where the Antova castle is located.

The mountain it sits upon was told to have been collapsed by an enormous meteorite centuries ago. It is quite a sight to see.

Only the wealthiest of the wealthy (and those closely related to the King) are permitted to live within the castle walls. Not many can even claim to have visited.

Rasellen - District 2

Prosperity: $$

Population: High

Named after the god of water. Closest to the ocean. Lots of fisherman that have their own places near the ocean come into the Rassellen district to sell their catches. Distant travelers who come by boat pass through this district sometimes, as a large flowing river travels through it.

The population is dense and many homes are built right up against the river itself. Wyngrew often fish right from their roofs and balconies. Although the architecture is fascinating, it's not idea for living, and the district is very prone to flooding.

Poverty is high in these condense parts near the river, and wyngrew play a high risk game living in such places.

Cheaper hotels and inns are available here for travelers on a budget. It can be a bit hard to get to the wealthy districts from Rasellen unless you’ve got ironclad paperwork or a well-known family name.

Klypirah - District 3

Prosperity: $$$

Population: Medium

Named after the goddess of Wind. Traveler's hotspot.  All of the best hotels and inns are in this district, and anyone coming into the city with a decent bit of money should make it their goal to get a room in this district specifically.

Special higher up rooms without a staircase are sometimes available to those with wings and/or wind magic, and can get you away from the noise of the street if you're willing to pay the extra cost.

Entertainment galore! Magic shows (literal magic performances) as well as theater, are very popular in this area. Small scale magic sports are also very present in Klypirah.

Trevuu - District 4

Prosperity: $$$

Population: Medium

Named after the god of Earth. Trevuu is best known for its restaurants and food enthusiasts. Lots of local stalls selling food fresh off the trade routes. Also the biggest farming district, with trade of farm animals and crops as well. Trevuu is a very important district that provides a lot to the other districts as well.

Miu - District 5

Prosperity: $

Population: High

Named after the Goddess of Dark. Miu is easily the most crime centric city in Antova, as well as the most dangerous.

residents from other districts often talk down upon it and fear even visiting, despite the high population of royal guards that watch over it. Guards search people who leave the district because it's so crime ridden. Wouldn't want drugs and disease running into the rest of the city! Miu also has the largest prison in Antova. The prison is so overcrowded that wyngrew would rather die than be stuck here, as many have died from neglect within the prison.

Many black markets run through Miu and it is said that you can find just about anything here. Guards often deal into these trades as well if it will earn them some extra coin.

Contrary to the old name of this district, there is a high concentrated watch for use or talk of forbidden Dark magic, so it is extremely uncommon to find here.

Tsillquin - District 6

Prosperity: $$

Population: High

Named after the god of Ice. Tsillquin mostly consists of housing, and is an easy, more affordable district to move into if you're an outsider. Many gros who work in other districts often live here. The mountain ranges beyond Tsillquin's gates outside of Antova are very rich in ore and other precious natural metals. The district is known for metal working, tools, and remarkably good sap, but is very 'middle of the road' when it comes to standing out on its own.

Zandanzell - District 7

Prosperity: $$

Population: High

Named after the god of Lightning. Bustling, lots of sellers, good place to go for starting a business! Very close to Vantras and thus, many merchants here thrive to be able to move there in order to make it with the big time sellers. Tsillquin and Zandenzell are both very easily accessible from each other, and the two districts intermingle a lot. You could say Zandenzell is known for having the most creative, artists, inventors of any other district.

Zandanzell is also known for its fast-paced movement, thievery, and high guard traffic. Don’t mess around in here, you’ll probably get caught and imprisoned (or worse). It has the second largest population for imprisonment, next to Miu. Although not nearly as strict or overcrowded. Prisoners are usually less “big offenders” and often escape. Many thieves reside in this district, so keep your coin purses close.

Vantras - District 8

Prosperity: $$

Population: High

Named after the goddess of Fire. The wealthiest of the districts, aside from the castle district. High amounts of Imps live here, and many of its residents have visited the castle district in their lives. Upper Class, many merchants that sell to the castle district or even work for the castle district. Most gros who grow up here often end up doing big things with their lives, so it's a highly desirable district to end up in.

Tassledon, the renowned magic school is also located here. Arenas for magical combat games, which is considered to be a noble form of entertainment.  A little magical blood sport with paid healers on the side is good fun for those with coin.
